Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodha

“yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.”

Mantra, meditation and mudras are powerful spiritual technologies that assist in rewiring your brain in powerful ways.

Man – tra

In Sanskrit, -man means mind and -tra means to protect.

Mantras are tools that protect our mind from negativity.  Everyone constantly thinks and speaks mantras all the time.

“I don’t have enough time.”

“I can’t do that.”

“I’ll never have a meaningful relationship because ________.”

“I’m broke, I can’t afford _______.”

“I hate my thighs.”

Fill in your own limiting statement here.

Any of these sound familiar?  Many of our internal mantras are not serving our highest good and helping further us on our path of destiny.  In the chakra system, the 7th chakra governs our thoughts.  This is the first pathway in the manifesting current, which is the downward path through the chakra system.  Our thoughts create.  Period.

What do you spend your time dwelling on?  Thinking about?  Mulling over in your mind?  Anything up there in that noggin of yours you’d like to get rid of?

Mantras and meditation are like the delete button for negative thoughts.  Bhavani Maki, author of The Yogi’s Roadmap says, “Yoga is the practice of eliminating all self-limiting, self-defeating, self-negating thoughts.”

YEAH!  Sign me up for that, right?  Science is confirming what yoga has known for a few thousand years or so.  Our thoughts create dis-ease.  So how can we get a hold of the monkey in our minds?

Mantras can powerfully alter negative thinking and other limiting patterns of your mind and elevate your thoughts.  Meditation, affirmations, and mantras actually employ the mind to direct and focus the mind, thereby replacing limiting thoughts with life affirming thoughts.

Claim your creative power of thought.  You’ve heard that ‘Thoughts create your reality,’ or ‘What we think we become.’  These are both very true statements. You can consciously create the life you want.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Do two gentle kriyas because movement prepares the body for longer periods of seated meditation.
  • Learn and chant several powerful mantras for 11 minutes apiece.
  • Finish with a meditation for prosperity.
