07/31/2013 – Yippee!! Rama is coming, Rama is coming! Rama Joyti Vernon is a dynamic yoga teacher with a vast amount of yogic wisdom to share. Her family was friends with Alan Watts, Dr. Joseph Murray, and other leading thinkers. Her father was the first chiropractor in California and her mother was a reflexologist…in the 1930’s! They were New Age before that was even a word. She hosted and learned from many yogis – Swami Satchidananda, Iyengar, Bikram and others. She co-founded the Yoga Journal magazine in her living room in the late ’60’s! Her husband was the Unity minister on the Plaza and Duke, the minister now, was his secretary.
